First published as a hardcover by Little Brown in 1967, this is the only published instance where Rod first wrote in short story form rather than script format. This digest-sized paperback contains a trio of novellas (The Escape Route, Color Scheme, & Eyes) two of which he later adapted into the classic NIGHT GALLERY pilot. The updated edition includes a foreword by Emmy winning filmmaker and novelist Mark Olshaker.
